What is TNM?
Tumour · Nodes · Metastasis
TNM staging is the global system for describing how advanced a cancer is. T captures the size and local extent of the tumour, N indicates whether lymph nodes contain cancer cells, and M reflects distant spread (metastasis). Doctors rely on TNM to communicate severity, plan treatment, and estimate prognosis.
What is histological type?
Cell-of-origin insight
Histological type describes the specific cells and tissue the cancer came from. Pathologists determine it by looking at tumour samples under a microscope. This classification helps clinicians name the cancer precisely, anticipate how it behaves, and select the most appropriate therapy.
Model & SHAP guidance
Know what the model listens to
Model feature importance
Signals the model relies on most often: age, histology type, N, EAS regimen, T, gender, M, EAS performance status, and treatment intent.
SHAP top contributors
For individual rows, the top SHAP drivers are age, EAS regimen, histology type, N, gender, T, M, intent, and EAS performance status.
Waterfall summary
These same variables show up as the strongest per-row contributors in waterfall plots, revealing how each factor shifts risk higher or lower from the baseline probability.
